Real Estate Institute of Botswana
The Real Estate Institute of Botswana is the coordinating organisation for Estate Agents and Valuers in Botswana.
The Institute tries to control the operations of the Estate Agents and Valuers in order to ensure that these Estate Agents and Valuers are providing a good service to their clients.
To become a member of the Real Estate Institute of Botswana, the Estate Agent or Valuer needs to have the required qualifications and to promise to follow the rules and regulations of the Institute.
The Real Estate Institute of Botswana monitors the operations of the Estate Agents and Valuers and will take actions if thse operations are not according to their rules.
Important for you
Make sure you always deal with an Estate Agent or Valuer who is registered with the Real Estate Institute of Botswana. This will ensure you a proper service according to the Rules and Regulations of the Institute.
The Estate Agent or Valuer will show either of the following to indicate that he/she is a registered member of the institute:
- Display the logo of the Institute in their adverts, correspondence or business cards
- Place the abbreviation R.E.I.B. behind their name
- Display the Certificate of Membership in the office
